How GALANA-KULALU Project Can Succeed

“The construction of the 10,000-acre Model Farm commenced on 11th September 2014. The contract was awarded to Green Arava Ltd with funding by Government of Kenya through a financing loan from an Israeli Bank.”

The Galana/Kulalu Food Security Project seems to have run into serious headwinds. Not surprising because Israel’s Green Arava Ltd’s job was to make sure the project achieved exactly that - FAILURE.
My humble advice to the people managing the project: If you want the project to succeed, it must be run by Kenyans 100%. This is because the world is not what it seems.
For instance, National Youth Service could be incorporated into the project. This is because, apart from the necessity of having Kenyans manage/run the project, the people selected to supervise and do the actual labour in the farms need to be very disciplined.
The farms could also be the perfect place to have college interns(especially from the area) horn their practical skills whilst working there during their holidays, thus lowering production costs. The interns gain, the local counties gain, the country gains.
Read the following threads to understand why it is imprudent to depend on external organisations to help with the project:
